| Organisation of competition |
| The SPAR European Cup will be organised from 21st to 22nd June by the French Athletics Federation (FFA) with the collaboration of the Athletics Club of Annecy, the Departmental Athletic Committee of the Haute-Savoie and the Regional Athletic League of the Rhône-Alpes.
The FFA organises each year many international events. It is famous for its knowledge in this field. In 2007, the European Mountain Running Championships were organised in Cauterets in the Hautes-Pyrénées. In 2006, the indoor European Cup in Liévin as well as the European Cup of Combined Events in Arles were also organised. The last SPAR European Cup organised in France was in 2002… in Annecy. That’s the reason why the town of Annecy and the FFA have decided to be candidate again to organise the European Cup, the third biggest event of the European Athletic Association. |
